【フランス買付時現地工房商品説明原文】

a SUPERB antique violin from a private collector in France .Please note that this violin is presented in very good condition, as you can see from the photos, and is entirely original. Beautiful instrument, with a French label "Ch.J.B. COLLIN-MEZIN Luthier a Paris, Rue du Faubg Poissonniere N°29, CM" and also hand-signed on the back inside under the right f. About authenticity I'm not an expert! so don't hesitate to ask me for more photos if they can help with identification and provenance, however I have no reason to believe that this is not an authentic Collin-Mezin violin! The length of the back is 35.8 cm.

Charles Louis COLLIN-MEZIN (aka COLLIN-MEZIN son) is the son of Charles Jean Baptiste COLLIN-MEZIN.

Charles Jean-Baptiste Leon COLLIN-MEZIN is the son of Charles Louis COLLIN-MEZIN.

Label and stamps

Jean-Baptiste Collin-Mezin has always been a keen user of brands, stamps and labels.

Instruments are also signed directly to the inside back, by pencil or by ink depending on the period.
